Fundraising For Jumpstart Could Get you and Your Team Some Serious Fun!
This year it’s more than ever before it’s evident that those of us that play hockey are fortunate to do so.Sport builds and maintains our connection to community.
With feelings of uncertainty around that connection this year, many are getting just a small taste of what it might be like to for a family that is unable to participate in sport due to financial barriers – or, perhaps you know someone who has become one of those families because of the state of the world right now.
Canadian Tire Wickenheiser World Female Hockey Festival has always believed strongly in Jumpstart’s mandate, to make a more inclusive Canada, where all kids can access sport and play.. This Wickfest we want to work together to help support even more kids through Jumpstart!
From November 20 to February 1st, WickFest is giving our participants the opportunity to raise and commitment funds for Jumpstart to get the opportunity for some one-on-one time with Hayley!
You can do this as a team-building exercise or as an individual, as we will have prizes for both.
How???
Step 1 - Raise money for Jumpstart - be creative, work as a team or do it on your own!
Step 2 - Tell us your Pledge - download the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Certificate here and email it to us and/or post it on social media – be sure to tag #ctwickfest.
Step 3 - Be entered to win!
Rules
- Your team, or you as an individual, can raise funds for Jumpstart in any way you dream up. Maybe it's a skate-a-thon, a raffle, a good old-fashioned ask to friends and family. Whatever you do, PLEASE FOLLOW LOCAL HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES!!!!
- Let us know how much you've raised by February 1st by filling out the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Certificate and emailing it to wickregistrar@gmail.com with the subject "Jumpstart” in the subject line. Tell us if you did this on your own or as a team.
- For every $10 you raise, you will receive one entry into a random draw.
- We will draw the winner on February 5th, 2021 and announce it on social media.
Team Thank You Awards
1st Place – A 45-minute one-on-one Zoom session with Hayley Wickenheiser. (This may be replaced with an in-person session at a future WickFest event of your choice).
2nd Place - $500 Gift Card to Canadian Tire
